This journal compiles my thoughts over the Daniel Pink video.

Today we watched David Pink’s video on his book, A Whole New Mind. My first impression of Mr. Pink is that he is a very intellectual person. He really knows what he’s talking about. Throughout his discussion he keeps referring back to the real world and outsourcing. The times are changing so dramatically that soon we will have to ask ourselves if what we do is really worth it. The most interesting part he talked about was the design. Retailers now instead of just trying to sell a product for the function, they now have to take the design into consideration. The design is the selling point.
When Daniel pink speaks, he captivates the audience, and makes the listeners think about everything he says. He researches everything he says, so as to bring people the facts.
Some of the facts include facts about outsourcing. Most of the nations jobs will be outsourced to other countries within the next few years. This is because outsourcing is cheaper to perform the jobs in Asia instead of in our own country. These jobs done in other nations are jobs that are require the use of the left brain. That means that if people want to get a good job here in the United States, we have to use our right brains. Using our right side of our brains we can apply for so many more jobs that are far less likely to be outsourced. It shows that we are moving into a whole new age, one in which we need to use Darwin’s theory of the survival of the fittest, to learn to adapt in a new world. One in which we need to use our right brains, and to think using a whole new mind.
